Nile’s most recent project INTO THE FIRE: THE LOST DAUGHTER debuted on Netflix in September 2024. Directed by Ryan White and produced by Charlize Theron, the two-part documentary is based on The Girl In The Picture, Nile’s original reporting in The Atavist.
Previously, Nile created and executive produced two seasons of DEATH IN THE DORMS for Hulu & ABC News Studios, in partnership with IPC. In September 2021, Nile originated and executive produced acclaimed documentary series THE WAY DOWN for HBO MAX alongside Chrissy Teigen, Campfire Studios, and director Marina Zenovich.
Nile has upcoming projects in development at Netflix (also based on original reporting in The Atavist), Amazon, and Peacock. As a journalist, she has published with outlets including The Atavist, Rolling Stone, and Vice, creating viral stories that have been among the most-trafficked on each platform.
Cappello has also produced audio content for Vespucci and Solve and, as a screenwriter, won the Silver Prize in Drama at the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards and placed in the quarterfinals of the Academy Nicholl Fellowship. When not working, you can find Cappello bouldering, speaking Italian, and drinking iced tea.
